Hi everyone,

I’m hoping summer will return soon – it’s quite foggy here!

There are a number of events coming up in the next few weeks, including some brand new classes at the Redcliffs Shed.

Tomorrow, Saturday 22 February: 12.30 – 1.30 pm: a River of Flowers event will be held at the Christchurch Yacht Club Car Park, Moncks Bay, to mark three years since the 22 February earthquake. Monday 24 February

9 am: A reminder to Shed committee members that there is a committee meeting.

10 am ‘Catch Up Cuppa’ in the Shed every Monday.

10 am – 3 pm: Redcliffs Shed Workshop open with Dave Kennedy supervising. Most weeks.

10.30 – 11.30 am Tea & Talk runs at the Sumner Community Centre (old school hall kitchen, Wiggins Street). Every Monday except public holidays.

Tuesday 25 February:

9.30 am: Mini Music for pre-schoolers/toddlers and their parents/caregivers at the Sumner Community Centre kitchen on Wiggins Street. $3 per child or $5 per family. Every Tuesday during school term time.

9 am – 12 pm: Regular working bee in the Sumner-van Asch Community Garden.

Wednesday 26 February

10 am – 12 pm: Craft Workshops continue at the Shed – it is jewellery making at present.  Gold coin donation. Every Wednesday

10.30 am – 12.30 pm: Rockers of Ages Choir at the Sumner Bridge Club

12 – 2 pm: Bridge2Rocks Timebank orientation sessions at the Hub, Sumner (the old police station). Drop in.

7 – 9.30 pm. The Shed’s Men’s Night recommences. More work on the dinghy, beer, and darts. All guys welcome.

Thursday 27 February

9.30 am: Mini Music for pre-schoolers/toddlers and their parents/caregivers at the Redcliffs Uniting Church. $3 per child or $5 per family. Every Thursday during school term time.

10.30 am – 12 noon: Coffee & Conversation at the Redcliffs Uniting Church. Come and enjoy some friendly company. Everyone welcome.  Every Thursday except public holidays.

7 pm: Sumner Silver Band practice at the Redcliffs Bowling Club

Saturday 1 March 2014:

2–9 pm: Estuary Fest will be held at McCormacks Bay Reserve, McCormacks Bay Reserve.  Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. A whole range of activities.

Sunday 2 March 2014:

11 am: The Sumner-Redcliffs Anglican Parish are holding a Community All Age Worship Service featuring Tim Downs speaking and their youth band playing. Morning tea will be held after the service.

Monday 3 March 2014

10 amCatch Up Cuppa’ in the Shed

10 am – 3 pm: Shed workshops open.

10.30 – 11.30 am Tea & Talk in Sumner.

Tuesday 4 March 2014

9.30 am: Mini Music in Sumner

10 am onwards: Upholstery Workshop in the Shed. Bring your lunch. For information, contact Wendy on 021 032 20614 or 376-6400.

Wednesday 5 March:

Other Notices
