Bridge2Rocks TimeBank Coordinator position

Bridge2Rocks Timebank operates under Sumner Bays Union Trust, a registered charitable Trust facilitating a range of community development initiatives that enhance social wellbeing.

TimeBanking is a community building tool weaving community to assist with the creation of well-being and connection. TimeBanking is a way of trading skills in a community. It uses time rather than money as the measurement tool. Everyone’s time is equal. Members share their skills and are given time credits for the work they do. The TimeBank Coordinator is supported by a committed Advisory Group. This is a 15hr a week contract position. Work hours can be flexible and may include occasional evenings/weekends.
The coordinator, in partnership with the TimeBank Advisory Group will develop and deliver the Strategic Action Plan for 2018. The coordinator’s role is primarily to continue developing the existing Bridge2Rocks TimeBank, increasing visibility and engaging members in trading. A full Job Description can be found (HERE). The role requires:
• An enthusiastic champion of the TimeBanking concept and values
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to a wide range of people
• A confident public speaker
• Highly computer literate
• Able to work independently and collaboratively
• Great organisational skills
• Experience in marketing/MailChimp/social media/graphic design/event management is desirable
The role covers the area from Ferrymead Bridge to Taylors Mistake (including Heathcote); ideal candidates will either live in this area or have good local knowledge and networks.
