SBUT Newsletter October 2013

Hi everyone,
There’s quite a lot happening at the moment.
The ‘A Way with Wood’ woodwork
exhibition is on in Redcliffs Community Shed until October 29. It features work by Dave, Teresa, and Glen, and is well worth attending. It’s on whenever the Shed is open.

Next week another exhibition opens – Impressions on Silk, featuring paintings on silk by Beth Moore, Dianne Watson, Suzanne Gough and Maureen Harris. Opening night is Friday November 1, 6.30 pm – 9 pm. Open Saturday November 2, 10 am – 3 pm and Sunday November 3 12 – 4 pm. Viewing is also available when the Shed is open.
The Senior Expo is being held on Friday 8 November at the Sumner Union Church complex on the corner of Nayland and Hardwicke Streets from 12.30 – 2.30 pm.

The Bridge2rocks Timebank formally came under the umbrella of Sumner Bays Union Trust last week. Welcome aboard 🙂

Community Carols is on Thursday 12 December from 6 pm in the grounds of Sumner School. It will
feature the Sumner Silver Band and Sumner School Choir.

A note – the OK Corral currently does not have a site. It is most definitely not on the Redcliffs Tennis Club courts. I understand that at least one family turned up there over the weekend thinking it was there. Plans are afoot for a new location – watch this space.

And finally, an invitation to the 5th Annual General Meeting of Sumner Bays Union Trust. It is being held on Wednesday 13 November 2013 in the Redcliffs Community Shed, 99c Main Road.
Warm regards,
Eddie Hayes
