Situated in the grounds of Ko Taku Reo (formerly van Asch Deaf Education Centre) the Community Garden includes a vegetable growing area, apple orchard and two hothouses. It is run by a group of volunteers who meet every Tuesday morning from 9.30am to 12pm.  A shared morning tea is put on around 11.30am. Organic gardening principles are applied and new volunteers are always welcome. No previous experience is required.
